The West Yorkshire outfit is fast becoming the second home of Chelsea football Club. The presence of Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill and Faustino Anjorin has seen the championship side entrusted with two of Chelsea’s most priced assets.
After the premature termination of Anjorin’s loan deal with Russian side Locomotive Moscow, the decision was made to give Anjorin a taste of first team football in England and what better place to do that than the John Smith’s stadium?
The brilliant treatment accorded highly-rated center back, Levi Colwill ensured the board at Chelsea could be rest assured of the improvement of young playmaker, Tino Anjorin.
The announcement of the deal brought joy to the Huddersfield’s ranks and head coach Carlos Corberàn said on his signing, “I believe Tino is one of the most important young talents in Britain”.
The West Yorkshire outfit’s Head of Football Operations added, “I would like to thank Chelsea for trusting us with the developments of one of their best young players, just as they did with Levi Colwill”.
In the last publication of the CIES football observatory, Levi Colwill was regarded as one of the most promising U20 defenders outside of the top 5 leagues further showing his massive improvements over the course of the season.
The relationship between Chelsea and Huddersfield goes as far back since the loan deal which took Trevor Chalobah to the John Smith stadium ahead of the 2019-2020 season. That long did turn out to be a very successful one as it’s evident in the performance of the young center back.
The fans and board of Huddersfield are optimistic and the reason is glaring for all to see. Faustino Anjorin (Tino as he’s foudly called) is a technically blessed player with the ability to play anywhere across the forward line including playing as a false nine. His versatility makes him a joy of every coach and that unique ability of his was identified by the Terriers’ coach“ Tino can play as a no.7, 10 or 11. He has a lot of talent and can be a big help to the squad. He is a very good player”.
In Russia, the young midfielder struggled as he could only muster 300 minutes due to injuries and inconsistencies.His talent is without questioning and considering prejudices, he should hit top form like his predecessors have done at the John Smith stadium and come back to Cobham a better player and person ready to take the next big step.
