Jose Morais has left Chelsea’s backroom team.
The assistant first team coach has taken a one-year sabbatical to become manager of Saudi Arabian team Al-Shabbab.
The scouting and analysis part of Morais’s role will be covered by head of analysis and opposition scout James Melbourne for the 2014/15 season.
Melbourne will report directly into Jose Mourinho and be responsible for co-ordinating the analysis on forthcoming opposition, working with scouts Mick McGiven and Paul McGiven and supported by the analysis team.
