It is the 25th of June, and Jose Mourinho has successfully completed his move to Chelsea FC. The first thing Roman Abramovich has asked Jose is to consider his opinion that Chelsea FC needs a new captain now that John Terry is not expected to stay at the club for too many years to come. Jose has to make a confident and well though of decision for the well being of his club. His options are:
1) Petr Cech
2) Branislav Ivanovic
3) David Luiz
4) Juan Mata
5) Gary Cahill
And since it was just a suggestion by Roman and not an order, these three also are applicable to the list, but it would mean that Jose would address the captaincyissues the next season.
6) John Terry
7) Frank Lampard
8) Ashley Cole
You are Jose Mourinho, make up your choice as to who will be your choice of captain for Chelsea FC for the years to come, with a valid reason.

I will give it to Luiz without thinking twice.
and the reason is that it will add responsibility on his shoulders , which will improve his game even more. he will be less prone to errors and mistakes which he makes sometimes. it will help raise his game and reach his full potential.
i will chose petr becouse he knw the team history and can adress the back four with easy which is good he speak 7 language which mean he can talk to new player and the vice should be mata he speak good english and can control the attack
John Terry should stay the captain until his last day at Chelsea, when he retieres/leaves, then our next captain should be David Luiz. Without hesitation, it’s a no-brainer tbh.

Well, I’d love the same, but only till the second last season, so maybe he could mentor the next captain…that’s my opinion though
i will still stick with JT
Even with a closed eyes i would hand it over to Luiz as it will give him more drive to be mature and take up responsibility, which i think will raise his game to the next level!!!

I’m also a fan of the idea of having luiz as our captain.
Luiz been captain of the side means that Jt and FL are no more in the team. We shouldn’t let that cause internal conflict in the team. I will still stick with Jt but if his service are no longer needed in the team i will give it to Mr lucky man, Lamp, sure. If the two are not given i have rather give it to CAHIL for now he is a leader in hidden. He had the quality of a leader, very composed on the ball, good manner on and off the pitch. He will be a good ambassador of the team without a stain and he is a british. Luiz is a nice choice but for me the arrogancy is in his blood.

I would stick with JT! I won’t want us to discard him just like that! He has forever bin with us and deserve more respect. Saying the name john terry paints Chelsea in ones mind. He deserves the captaincy till he retire in the blue shirt.
…but if I were to choose different, I would chose Gary cahill! Yes ! Cahill not luiz! .. Cahill strikes u as a leader. He is committed in his role, the UCL final n the Europa final last ditch tackle reminds u of a certain young JT! He is ready to give all. He will fight for us. He will wear the blood shirt with pride. He seems like a calm man, that won’t bring controversy to our club. I see a lot of JT in cahill. He is English (not bin biased or smtin).
.. MATA as VC not luiz! Luiz: true, bin captain will add more responsibility to luiz n enable him up his game. A jovial character, fun to be with.. He is a perfect team member NOT a captain! … I would gv MATA the VC n cahill the C cause I see them like jt n lamps… 1 gets the headline, the other harmonise the team. MATA strikes respect! The two looks like a gentlemen! They don’t court controversy! They will represent the club image perfectly.
That people is what I will tell Roman.
P.S. I woulda loved cech (the underrated man) but his advancing years n courtious lingering in the corner. I won’t wanna change my captain in say two seasons later.
As long as John Terry is there .. He should remain Captain .. Until he retires or Leave it should be handed to Lampard or Cole as long as they are still there .. After I which I recommend and will absoulutely love David Luiz – Geezer as Captain .. It’s a No Brain er.. He be given responsibility on his shoulders , which will improve his game even more. he will be less prone to errors and mistakes which he makes sometimes. it will help raise his game and reach his full potential. His attitude and personality will Uplift our players and give them a boost of confidence …
We dnt want disunity in our team,its jt and fl and it will be them until they retire
