Frank Lampard believes the team were good for more goals in their 1-1 Champions League draw with Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
The Blues scored inside ten minutes through Fernando Torres at the Turk Telekom Arena before Aurelien Chedjou equalised for the Istanbul giants with 25 minutes remaining in the contest.
However, Lampard felt it could have been a different story if the west London club were able to express their dominance by scoring more goals in the opening 45 minutes.
“We were disappointed at half-time we weren’t more than 1-0 up because we played well, we controlled it,” he told Sky Sports after experiencing a passionate Cimbom crowd in Istanbul.
“They didn’t have many chances and we had four or five good counter-attacks and we’re disappointed we didn’t make more of them.
“Certainly the crowd (played a part), I don’t know about the tactics because you always expect them to have a period, and they had a big period in the second half.”
Chelsea will host Galatasaray in the return leg at Stamford Bridge on March 18 for the chance to progress to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
This crap strikers make the job of mou too hard: at least we should score 2 or 3. At least!
The only reason this useless is still at Chelsea is abramovich. I don’t know for the reason he has the back of Abramovich. Since this guy has been at Chelsea, 4 coaches have already gone and he is still at the same level: rubbish. In summer, he will not get the same chance: it will be him or mou. Enough is enough.
Go hang yourself… What he’s done to us wasnt done by anyone anywhere… He’ll let JM stay… For long forever… Why I’m saying this coz he fired him went out to find his replacement… Never found it so finally came back to him again… Hail Roman…
