Loan Watch

Many players from our squad have been loaned out to various clubs around the Europe. With almost a month gone since the transfer window closed, the likes of Thorgan Hazard have made excellent progress while likes of Oriol Romeu have just got one chance to play.
Many of the same faces from the past season are out on loan. Kevin De Bruyne and Romeu Lukaku were the most impressive with the latter netting 17 goals for West Brom in the last season.
In this piece, we’ll see the players who have impressed with their performances on loan . Who could be the Romeu Lukaku or KDB of this season as a loanee?

Marko Marin has been the most impressive CFC player on loan so far.

Victor Moses— Since the arrival of Jose at Bridge, it was evident that he wont feature in the XI since there is too much competition for the Attacking Midfield. In the end, he was loaned out to Liverpool and since then he has got some playing time. In the EPL he featured 2 times for red and scored one goal.  His dribbles were 4.5  per game and had 3 key passes in 2 games.  The 22 year old Nigerian is gaining trust of Liverpool manager and would feature regularly for them in future.
Lucas Piazon– The  Kaka lookalike is loaned out to Vitesse along with fellow teammates Gael Kakuta and Patrick Van Aanholt. Lucas played a total of 4 games and featured in the starting XI all the 4 times. He scored a brace this week and was the Eredivisie player of the week .  Recorded 1.8 shots per game , 2.3 dribbles and key passes per game. Improving.
Marko Marin— The German international hardly could get himself in the XI last season and so his loan was inevitable. But since his loan, he has been very impressive with Sevilla. The German Messi featured 5 times for the Spanish club in La Liga and started 4 times for them. He scored 2 goals and assisted 3 in total of 8 games in all competitions.   In EUROPA against Slask Wroclaw he scored a brace and dribbled the ball 8 times with 4 key passes. His performance against Manchester United in preseason is still fresh with many. It now looks as if the old Marko Marin is coming back.
Patrick Van Aanholt–  The French LB plays in the Dutch league Eredivisie and has been pretty good with them so far . He has played 6 games for them so far and has one assist to his name. He has 2.8 tackles per game and 2.3 interceptions per game. There should be some real good competition for position of LB once Cole leaves us.
A reunion with Eden at the Stamford Bridge on cards?

THORgan Hazard- The younger Hazard is another highly talented Belgian . Loaned out to Zulte-Waregem and his stats are fantastic. He has so far scored 7 goals and has 6 assists to his name in mere 9 games. His passing is now better than ever.  There’s very high chance that he’ll play alongside Eden for CFC very soon.
Other players who have been loaned out are
Oriol Romeu (at Valencia)
Gaël Kakuta (at Vitesse )
Nathaniel Chalobah (at Nottingham Forest)
Christian Atsu (at Vitesse)
 Josh McEachran (at Watford)
Romelu Lukaku (at Everton)
Thibaut Courtois (at Atlético Madrid)
Conclusion– Marko Marin has been the best loaned out player for us so far and ‘might’ be called up next season if his brilliant performance for the Spanish club continues. While players like Oriol Romeu and Gale Kakuta have not got sufficient time on the pitch.
The best thing that comes out of this is that our talented young blood is getting some play time away from us which will certainly help them . We have a very bright future.
(Lukaku and Courtois have not been included because they have already proven themselves with the latter now being one of the best goalkeepers in the world. )
What do you make of our loaned out players? Who impressed you the most? Who should or who could be called back into the squad?
Till then KTBFFH!
