Chelsea demolished Ajax in their third Champions League match of the season.
The Blues hit the Dutch side for 5, thanks to goals from Marc Guiu, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Estevao and Tyrique George.
Chelsea’s performance allowed for some players to show how good they can be – Jamie Gittens and Facundo Buonanotte are two tonight that can be considered as part of that list.
But, someone who particularly continues to impress Enzo Maresca of late is Marc Guiu.
The injury to Liam Delap was a massive blow to the way the Italian got his team playing.
It has left him having to consistently utilise Joao Pedro as a striker, and while Joao is a very talented player, that’s not where his best position on the pitch is.
But now up steps the Spanish striker, and the former Barcelona man might’ve asserted himself as a regular starter and a strong competitor to Delap when he gets back from injury.
This particular game just showed everything about him which makes him such a valuable addition to this season’s squad.
He would barely let the Ajax defence breathe, as he kept running and kept consistently pressing Josip Sutalo and Ko Itakura.
There were some nice little link-ups with Buonanotte as well, which will only get Chelsea fans more excited about the prospect of Guiu playing with Joao Pedro.
The goal was the cherry on the cake for his first half performance, as he took his point blank chance as a true striker should.

It Probably the most important goal of the game as well, as it allowed Chelsea to relax before getting their second.
He got taken off at half-time for Tyrique George, which might indicate he could be in for a start at the weekend against Sunderland in the Premier League.
Luckily it seems Liam Delap is on his way back, but it doesn’t change the fact that Guiu has done a fantastic job in his replacement.
Yes, he hasn’t had the amount of game time he’s hoped for, but he makes life so much harder for defenders when he comes on and that’s all you can ask for from Delap’s understudy.
Chelsea play Sunderland next on Saturday as they look to increase their winning run.
I think a lot of fans will agree that Guiu has earned a start against his former club.
Will Maresca reward him with a Premier League start? All signs point to the fact he should.
