MATCH PREVIEW: SPORTING LISBON VS CHELSEA FC.

Chelsea are set to continue their unbeaten run as they  travel to Lisbon after a comprehensive 3 – 0 win against Aston villa on Saturday.

Chelsea and Sporting Lisbon failed to win their first group match of UEFA Champions League. Sporting has to face Chelsea FC who obviously have better quality. Clearly, they will be in danger. José will face striking choice as Diego Costa is not fully recovered from hamstring injury.

However, Chelsea will be facing a tough test as Sporting will be protecting a four-year, 16-match unbeaten record, including 13 wins, in European competition at the Alvalade Stadium but will be more comfortable for the Londoners with the presence of Diego Costa who has scored eight goals in the EPL.

Mourinho reiterated how the 25-year old continuing problem with his left hamstring means he can hardly train between games.

“He cannot be on top of his game. He’s doing almost nothing in training. He’s just resting and recovering from the tight muscle he has. I want to (select him). Let’s see what happens.”

Sporting Lisbon coach Marko Silva is confident his team can cause frustration in the Clash against Chelsea.

“It will be a good game and we want to give a good impression of our team which is on the up,” said Silva, after another of those 1-1 draws with Porto on Friday.
