Romelu Lukaku and Ramires netted two goals each, with Demba Ba, John Terry and Bertrand Traore also on target as Eden Hazard notched from the penalty spot for Jose Mourinho’s side
Chelsea completed their pre-season tour of Asia with a comprehensive 8-1 victory over an Indonesia XI in Jakarta.
Eden Hazard starred for Jose Mourinho’s side and opened the scoring from the penalty spot before turning provider for Ramires.
Demba Ba and John Terry both struck before half time, with Bertrand Traore, Romelu Lukaku and Ramires all among the goals after the interval.
Mourinho selected a number of younger players, including Nathaniel Chalobah, Marco van Ginkel, and young right-back Wallace.
Chelsea could have had an opener less than 15 minutes in after good work from Ryan Bertrand, but a Ramires header from the left-back’s cross was well saved by Kurnia Meiga.
The Indonesia goalkeeper was beaten from the spot by Hazard moments later, as the Belgian made no mistake after Terry was bundled over in the box by Hamka Hamzah.
The visitors continued to enjoy the best of the play and twice hit the post through Chalobah and Wallace as Hazard dominated proceedings.
And the forward was the creator for the second goal, as his scooped cross was flicked on by Bertrand, before Ramires controlled, turned and blasted the ball into the roof of the net.
Ba added a third shortly after as Indonesia failed to clear their lines, and Chelsea went into half time four goals up after Terry thundered a header beyond Meiga from a Bertrand free kick.
Mourinho made a number of changes at the interval as Romelu Lukaku, Michael Essien, Ashley Cole and Mark Schwarzer among others all came on.
And it was another second half substitute in impressive starlet Traore who scored the fifth, driving the ball home from distance following a combination with Branislav Ivanovic.
Lukaku made it six with a header after yet more excellent work from Hazard, and Ramires had his second – and Chelsea’s seventh – with another emphatic strike into the bottom right corner of Meiga’s goal.
Ramires, Van Ginkel, and the exceptional Hazard made way after an hour with Islam Feruz, Josh McEachran and Lucas Piazon all introduced.
But the goals kept coming as Piazon combined with Lukaku for the Belgian to side-foot the ball beyond Meiga.
The hosts, however, bagged a small consolation as Greg Nwokolo’s cut-back was turned into the Chelsea goal by Blues centre-back Tomas Kalas.
