Paul Pogba on Jose’s wish list

Chelsea is looking for reinforcements in the pivot role and according to The People, former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is on Jose’s wish list. The 20 year old valued at 25 million Pounds is a top prospect and Jose has sets his sights on him as a solution for his pivot problems and might be willing to bid for him in the January window.
Pogba has got 2 years left on the current deal but Juventus are trying their best to tie him down to a long term contract with a pay rise. However player’s refusal to commit long term has fuelled speculation that Pogba might soon be off.
Even Juventus President conceded that Pogba may leave if the ‘massive’ offer comes in. Speaking at the Leaders in Football Conference at Stamford Bridge,  Andre Agnelli said:

“In two or three years’ time, we get a massive offer for Pogba, would we be able to retain him? I don’t know. The Italian league used to be a final destination for international top players.
“What I sense now is that we are a transit destination. Even for Italian players, they can graduate in Italy but then find their ultimate success elsewhere.”

Arsene Wenger too has been a long term admirer of Pogba and compared him to Patrick Vieira. Arsenal however, after the signing of Flamini from Milan look loaded in midfield department and a move from Arsenal for the Frenchman looks unlikely.
Juventus veteran and Italian defender – veteran of 8 years with the Old Lady – revealed that even the team mates are resigned to the fact that Pogba will move once the continent’s big boys come calling. Chiellini told Gazetta dello Sport.

“If someone wants to believe in fairytales and Father Christmas that’s his prerogative. At the moment, Pogba is the biggest talent in international football in his position. If Juve do receive an obscenely high offer for him… just look at the price Bale went for.”

Pogba left Manchester United in 2012 joining Juventus on a free transfer, winning the Serie A title in his first season and has established himself as one of the hottest properties in Europe.

  1. If this rumour is true, then I’m not getting Jose anymore. What’ll happen to our youngsters on loan and the likes of loftus cheek, baker.. etc loftus cheek got same qualities with pogba

  2. We dont need him, we have romeu, mceachran, chalobah, van ginkel and MORE to expect from the youth team.. romeu is a better tackler than pogba, chalobah has a better vision than him.. please jose we dont need him

  3. I’ve said this and will keep on saying this, Jose doesn’t need midfielders at Chelsea we have abundant of them. We just need to get a top striker, Jose also hardly developes young talent.

  4. If we were to buy someone not saying we should but if we were to buy someone Pogba is not the solution.
So Therefore If we are still carrying on with the 4-2-3-1 formation under Jose which going by the majority of games looks like we are – Then if you watch the matches, read Jose’s opinion on News and use common sense it would suggest his problem is more to do with the person who goes next to Ramires as he is undeniably our best first team box-box midfielder, (rotations and backups Lampard and Van ginkel).
In my opinion, the reason why the pivot does not work is because we put another quality box-box midfielder in that role there instead. This is due to us not having a quality holding player (mikel is good not top draw). So just buying another box-box midfielder isn’t the the answer.
I would suggest a much better option (based on watching live matches of him especially the Champions league not YouTubes of his best bits) Marco Verratti.
Verratti is the missing piece of our pivot, his ability to cover the back 4, hold onto and cover the ball is amazing, not to mention his tackling and passing.

yeah… but he’s tiny and chelsea lack size. We need a big guy who push Yaya out the way!

  5. Ronald Justino

My thought on whoever DM we will buy later on…Pogba,Khedira or Matic…he must posses Essien’s power and strenght, his versatility, able to playmake and win the ball..I see them more like a successor to our Essien who is aging…I doubt he’ll stay next season…just a thought..

  6. Anyone who think Romeu is better than Pogba must be stupid. Pogba is one if the best talent in this damn world..mehnn he push Marchisio out of the team. Ok we have those youngstars but believe me none is even closer to this guy right there! So shut da fuck up Mou is the coach and know the best. And u guys who keep crying about money remember Roman is the owner no your dads. I will be more than happy to see this big young man at the bridge

    • No need for the language mate. Us Chelsea fans want to see our Chelsea Prospects progress above all else rather have Romeu play than Pogba

      • And when we become arsenal right? 8years without a single trophy because they stick to their academy…if someone isn’t a type of Chelsea player just loan him or sold him..that is it. Any great player like Pogba none will close the door if there is a chance to get him.

  7. may be chelsea wil buy all the players for some fan 2 be happy.i think all these are rumour.to be frank chelsea only need a decent striker now.then give our young players room 2 perform.i just remember how wilsher is performing & our own joash is overlookd.when anceloti was at chelsea, joash did wel,but after that mistake,he was bundled out by subsequent managers.check pogba, his development cuts across good & bad performance.if we dont give room 4 our players 2 develop, then we may never get another john terry.

  8. @ anonymous, are u referring 2 the same matic that used to be our player.u think matic is better than mikel.thats how madrid fans hated makalele so much & he left them.i noticed that most chelsea fans hate mikel & never values his contributions.dont worry oneday he wil leave chelsea for us,then we wil discover how his calm presence, simple passing game style, timely & acurate tackling, imposing stature, strength & above all his ability 2 remain injury free (ie match fitnes) will all elude our team.we should learn 2 get behind our player, becaus most great players are made only few like messi are born with their ability.
