Chelsea take a HUGE win against West Ham and move back into the top four. The less that’s said about our performance though, the better!
Filip Jorgensen – 6
Nothing to write home about but it felt good not needing to worry quite as much as we would with Sanchez in goal. No huge saves, but just a calm performance.
Reece James – 6
Reasonably good I’d say considering how laboured we looked tonight. Was solid defensively bar one moment where Soler gave him a trouble, bit overall a good shift and no injury (unless anything develops from that awkward fall).
Tosin Adarabioyo – 6
Made an incredible block at the end to prevent Kudus grabbing an equaliser. That aside, not much to add.
Levi Colwill – 5
Shocker of a mistake to allow West Ham in front tonight but seemed to improve gradually since then. I’m not averse to seeing him have a game or two out of the team though, performances just aren’t there right now.
Marc Cucurella – 6
Not bad, not wonderful. Created a little bit of chaos here and there in the West Ham box at times as well.
Moises Caicedo – 7
Fantastic tonight overall. Considering how flat the performance was, he was as good as he always is, which is never a surprise at this point. Misplaced just one of his 61 attempted passes too.
Enzo Fernandez – 5
Another one of the “not great but not bad” category. Unlucky not to get a goal for himself in the lead up to Neto’s, but overall a pretty average performance.
Noni Madueke – 5
Really poor, and for me really lazy. He had a bright moment in the first half where he was unlucky not to score, but I just found his performance really dull tonight. Showed a lack or urgency to attack the box, or arrive at the far post. Frustrating, and glad he didn’t play the full game.
Cole Palmer – 7
Even when he’s not fully at his best, he always has a moment in him that can bring a goal. He had that moment yet again tonight. Had a much better second half as well, got into some more dangerous areas and had a better effect on the game.
Jadon Sancho – 5
I felt he offered more than Madueke in spells but still, just a complete lack of goal threat of any kind. Struggling to find a case to continue starting him, especially with Neto coming on and scoring.
Nicolas Jackson – 4
Offered nothing tonight, hardly brought anyone into the game and just was barely involved. Not much else to add.
Substitutes:
Malo Gusto – N/A
Didn’t offer or do enough to warrant a rating.
Pedro Neto – 6
Got our equaliser and generally was pretty positive on the right hand side. Happy for him, happy with him and deserves to start in the cup game at Brighton.
Marc Guiu – 5
Never really got into the game or offered anything. Feels harsh to really criticise though given he’s not had many PL minutes yet.
Christopher Nkunku – N/A
Same as Gusto, didn’t do enough to warrant a rating.
Trevoh Chalobah – N/A
Enzo Maresca – 7
Substitutes were proactive for once and really helped turn the game around, which is what the rating is for. I still feel questions need asking about how we played overall though.
