Player ratings: Chelsea bottle another lead in crucial fixture

Chelsea bottled yet another lead, this time to Sheffield United. The match ended 2-2 after a last minute goal from Ollie Mcburnie.

Overall, a very poor performance, with more doubts now lingering over Mauricio Pochettino.

Djordje Petrovic – 5

Fairly average today, conceded a shocking goal in the first half and again failed to command his box convincingly. Going through a rough patch

Trevoh Chalobah – 6

Not too bad – we weren’t exactly convincing defensively today (we never are) but Trev wasn’t too bad.

Axel Disasi – 5

Poor. Was bullied by Mcburnie multiple times throughout and was just unconvincing all round.

Thiago Silva – 7

The goal boosts his rating to a respectable 7, as well as his nine clearances. His bit-part role might be a clever way to end the season.

Marc Cucurella – 5

Not good enough. Lost his man for Sheffield United’s first goal and didn’t offer much throughout the game.

Moises Caicedo – 6

No mistake today at least, did his job as he had to do

Conor Gallagher – 5

Offered absolutely nothing, further proving that he just isn’t useful in games like today – that’s more on the coach though than himself.

Enzo Fernandez – 6

Nothing to shout about today, a quite average performance. Yet again though, our poor setup is failing to get the most out of two players who cost over £100m each.

Cole Palmer – 6

A very quiet game today, but did still nick an assist, for Madueke’s goal. Clearly our lack of anything going forward today coincided with an off-day for Palmer.

Noni Madueke – 7

Fairly decent for me. Looked lively going forward and was more direct than others. Scored a fantastic goal as well, but unfortunately it wasn’t a winner.

Nicolas Jackson – 5

A real lack of involvement, especially in the second half. You can really see how we struggle, and how he struggles, when he doesn’t see enough of the ball.

Mauricio Pochettino – 4

Late subs, poor subs, nothing done to change the game in the second half especially. Need I say anything other than “same as usual”…

Carney Chukwuemeka – N/A

No real involvement

Mykhailo Mudryk – N/A

Cesare Casadei – N/A

Benoit Badiashile – N/A
