Player ratings: Chelsea capitulate in second half at home to Fulham

Chelsea lose at home to Fulham for the first time in over 40 years, after conceding a 95th minute goal from Muniz.

A performance where Chelsea didn’t have an ounce of control all afternoon and were made to pay late on. Hard to argue against Fulham deserving to win.

Robert Sanchez – 6

Funnily, despite letting two goals in was one of our better performers today. Made some pretty good saves, including one from Robinson whilst we were still 1-0 up.

Malo Gusto – 3

He was absolutely ripped to shreds today by Fulham’s left hand side. Caught out of position countless times and just wasn’t able to deal with them. However, it wasn’t all down to him – I think Maresca must take some blame for not doing anything about it.

Tosin Adarabioyo – 5

Nothing really to say. Wasn’t exactly a net-positive but equally wasn’t particularly poor.

Levi Colwill – 5

Not wonderful. Does have an assist to his name, much to the work of Cole Palmer though in the first half. Other than that, he didn’t strike me with all too much confidence when we were in defensive positions.

Marc Cucurella – 5

Didn’t really offer great deal today. I expected we would really notice his return but it’s hard to argue for me to be honest.

Enzo Fernandez – 6

A better performer of a really poor bunch today. In the first half especially, had several of his expansive passes all work out/come off. Unlucky not to have an assist as well for Cucurella in the first half.

Moises Caicedo – 6

Not vintage but definitely decent. Couple of good tackles to set us off but equally, uncharacteristically loose in possession at points.

Pedro Neto – 4

Hardly in the game at all, largely because it felt like he was doing a wing back shift! Constantly providing support to Gusto, and whilst I’m keen to credit that, it shouldn’t be his job to be sat at right back for 90 minutes. I also think he really let himself down in the buildup to Fulham’s leveller.

Cole Palmer – 7

Best of a bad bunch. Scored a beautiful goal and had he been a bit more clinical, could’ve had more. Aside from the good, there was some bad. Couple of overcomplicated passes at points that just didn’t help.

Jadon Sancho – 4

Not in the game at all, and offered virtually nothing. Not really a great deal else to add other than that I hope he steps up next time out.

Nicolas Jackson – 5

Again, the same issue. Hardly in the game whatsoever, offered very little and was poor at the times where he did in fact have the ball.

Substitutes:

Christopher Nkunku – 3

Unbelievably poor and lazy today. Did nothing when he came on, hardly pressed or even looked like he wanted to help win the ball back.

Enzo Maresca – 4

Not a good showing today. We had a constant issue down our right hand side that wasn’t rectified at any point in the game. We lacked control, we lacked game management. It was just a really messy day.
