Player ratings: Chelsea fire FOUR past Betis in second half comeback to end season with trophy

WE’VE WON IT ALL!

Chelsea top off a positive season with a 4-1 win in Wroclaw over Real Betis, meaning the blues have now completed the set. We’ve won it all, some of it more than just once!

Filip Jorgensen – 6

He was fine tonight, nothing too major aside from a good save in the first half shortly after we went a goal down.

Malo Gusto – 2

Had a torrid time tonight which was really disappointing, but ultimately could have cost us the game. Never looked comfortable in the inverted role and was rightfully taken off at half time.

Trevoh Chalobah – 6

Did alright tonight, nothing too much to really report aside from being left exposed by Gusto at times. Did his job.

Benoit Badiashile – 6

Quite the same as Trev really, did his job, did absolutely fine throughout most of the game.

Marc Cucurella – 7

Again not his busiest game but was pretty comfortable in possession throughout. Totally locked Antony down as well and nullified any threat of him having his moment.

Enzo Fernandez – 7

I called for him to come off at half time because he was offering absolutely nothing. However, his late arrival into the box on 65 minutes sparked us into life, and set us on the way to turning the game around. For that, I am absolutely grateful! Played with a lot of confidence afterwards and did very well.

Moises Caicedo – 9

Absolutely incredible and our best, or one of our best players tonight. Relentlessly winning the ball back and mopping up issues, topping off his shift with a lovely goal to round our season off. What a year for him and a way to end it.

Noni Madueke – 5

Pretty sub-par overall, not overly effective at all throughout the game but did begin to work very well out of possession once we got back into the game I felt.

Cole Palmer – 9

Again like Enzo, a nothing hour from Cole, but when you have the ability he has, you only need a moment. Two wonderful assists in their own right clawed us back into the game and then in front. A great way to round off the season which has been challenging for him of late.

Pedro Neto – 4

Very poor and ineffective tonight. Poor crossing, pretty poor decision making too.

Nicolas Jackson – 6

Despite the goal it wasn’t his best game, largely summed up by his poor touch on the counter at 2-1. Struggled to really get into it to be fair but, he had his moment importantly.

Substitutes:

Reece James – 7

Came on and we immediately looked calmer. He exuded confidence, a calmness on the ball and really got us going. Lead by example as a captain in that second half.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – N/A

Jadon Sancho – 7

Looked a threat when he came on and scored a lovely goal to make it 3-1. If that was a parting gift, then thank you for that moment, Jadon!

Levi Colwill – 7

Very good off the bench, aggressive passing and solid defensively.

Marc Guiu – N/A

Enzo Maresca – 8

Spot on in-game tweaks and changes, leading us to our first trophy in three years.

It’s been a tough season for Enzo but I’m so happy for him tonight, it’s been a wonderful few days and I feel we can really get behind him now.

Sha la la, la la la la la, ENZO!
