Player ratings: Chelsea smashed by Liverpool in horror show at Anfield

I’ll put an early disclaimer in to say that this is not going to be a review where I try to find positives. There can be no holding back on what on earth we all witnessed tonight.

Embarrassing, the lot of them.

Djordje Petrovic – 7

The only player who can walk off the pitch for us saying they did as much as they could – that being said, we still conceded four goals.

Axel Disasi – 2

Pathetic, at right back and at centre back, abysmal, and was completely bullied all night.

Thiago Silva – 2

Tonight he was made to look his age, as opposed to a world class, experienced defender. Bullied all night by Nunez, totally weak.

Benoit Badiashile – 1

Worst performance in a Chelsea shirt. It was an embarrassment, and he should be nowhere near the team for the foreseeable, or at least until we have a manager competent enough to piece a backline together.

Ben Chilwell – 1

Shocking, and it was visible to see. Gave the ball away for the first, was nowhere to be seen for the second, and was all round shocking.

Moises Caicedo – 3

Actually started relatively steady but our midfield as a whole was shocking tonight and Caicedo is part of that setup, so he must take blame.

Enzo Fernandez – 3

Much the same as Caicedo – there was nothing at all from him tonight. I again use the word, bullied.

Conor Gallagher – 2

A lack of decision making on the ball as usual, and it’s usually in these games he excels, but tonight he was abysmal.

Noni Madueke – 1

Ineffective on the ball and offered absolutely nothing without it. Was rightfully taken off at half time after winning two from nine ground duels.

Cole Palmer – 2

Hardly had an effect that I could really remember, and deserves to not get out of the game with anything better than a two rating.

Raheem Sterling – 1

A pathetic performance, just nothing about tonight to be positive about and it just makes me feel like the sooner he leaves the club, the better. Then again, you could say that about more than just him.

Mauricio Pochettino – 2

It isn’t all on him tonight but to call the season fantastic, be unable to coach a backline, show no solid progress in terms of a direction on the pitch? It’s time. Enough is enough.

Mykhailo Mudryk – 1

Missed a massive chance early in the second half and did absolutely nothing else.

Malo Gusto – 4

Coming on as a defender at 2-0 down was hardly easy, so i do sympathize with him in that respect, but again, i’m not here to find positives.

Tonight needs to be remembered for the horrorshow it was.

Christopher Nkunku – 7

A goal again, and more glimpses of what we have had missing all season. Here’s hoping we see more from him, if he stays fit.

Carney Chukwuemeka – 6

Bright, and better than near on everyone else. An assist, and good linkup with Nkunku.

Cesare Casadei – N/A
