Well, we did not expect that, did we? Chelsea come away with a point against the Champions Manchester City at the Etihad.
Here’s my player ratings…
Djordje Petrovic – 7
Decent time-wasting, and bar the odd few moments of indecisiveness was pretty solid.
Malo Gusto – 7
Brilliant, all round solid and a superb eight tackles whilst having a good run against Doku.
Axel Disasi – 8
Probably our player of the match for me, it felt like he won everything that came into the box, he was fantastic.
Levi Colwill – 7
Really solid, defended brilliantly alongside Disasi, and was just fantastic.
Ben Chilwell – 6
Nothing really came at him during the second half so not a huge amount to go off defensively, but solid enough all in all.
Moises Caicedo – 7
Despite a first-half yellow card, I thought he was great tonight. Not afraid to get a foot in, and completed 90% of his passes.
Enzo Fernandez – 7
Much the same as Caicedo – really good defensively, and a few moments where he bought us some time to relieve pressure. Was really happy with him today.
Conor Gallagher – 7
A nuisance in duels, and all round great today, contributing to the result we got.
Cole Palmer – 6
Not hugely involved bar the goal, but played a great pass to Jackson which led to our opener. He was good today, not superb but not poor.
Nicolas Jackson – 7
Held the ball up well, got an assist. Fantastic performance, especially in a tough away game. Definitely in the side for next weekend.
Raheem Sterling – 6
I actually thought he was pretty poor, hence the rating, but he took his goal really well. Not sure if he starts the final, but the goal will help.
Mauricio Pochettino – 7
Spot on gameplan, hit City where it hurts, however, I felt we went too negative too early. Positive signs though all in all.
Christopher Nkunku – 5
Not overly involved and not much to report for the time he was on.
Trevoh Chalobah – N/A
Hardly fair to rate considering the situation.
Cesare Casadei – N/A
