Player ratings: Chelsea were robbed late on by VAR in vital Villa trip

Chelsea had a late goal from Axel Disasi chalked off after Badiashile was judged to nudge defender Carlos in the build up.

It should have been a goal and the Blues can feel hard done by after a spirited second half comeback which saw them come from two goals down, back to two all.

Here’s todays Player ratings below..

Djordje Petrovic – 6

A pretty standard performance today – one or two decent saves but nothing remarkable.

Trevoh Chalobah – 6

Very solid I thought, looked decent on the right of the back 4 and as we know, he can do a job.

Thiago Silva – 7

As a unit we were fairly vulnerable but Silva was great. Snuffed out long balls up to Watkins and defended pretty well all round.

Benoit Badiashile – 7

One of his better games in recent weeks, looked more comfortable than he has done lately and I was impressed.

Marc Cucurella  – 6

Solid, in my view. Nothing superb but just solid.

Moises Caicedo – 8

Without a doubt probably his best performance all season, or at least one of them. Absolutely fantastic.

Conor Gallagher – 7

Really good for me, and his stunning goal topped that off, probably tipping him to a 7.

Cole Palmer – 6

Pretty quiet unfortunately, I felt we missed getting him into the game more.

Noni Madueke – 7

Made a lot happen in the second half and was a big catalyst to our comeback, which SHOULD have been a win.

Nicolas Jackson – 6

Worked hard, scored a good goal, albeit offside. One of his more decent evenings.

Mykhailo Mudryk – 3

I’m honestly not sure what to even say at this point. Ineffective.

Mauricio Pochettino – 5

Poor first half but a better second. A result that keeps him here probably until the summer now.

Cesare Casadei – N/A

Axel Disasi – N/A

But should’ve had a goal!
