Chelsea take yet another HUGE step towards qualifying for next season’s Champions League with a 3-1 win over Premier League champions, Liverpool.
A very unusually pragmatic performance from the blues saw us effective overall at both ends, with a late Palmer penalty sealing the points.
Robert Sanchez – 6
Decent today, two good early saves in the first half and overall just pretty solid throughout. Another game with no errors as well it felt like.
Marc Cucurella – 7
Lively again, a great set of stats with seven clearances as well. Really tidy on the ball, a great day for him.
Trevoh Chalobah – 7
Absolutely fantastic today in my opinion. An incredible tackle to deny Nunez a chance relatively late on and was pretty seamless during the rest of the game.
Levi Colwill – 7
Much the same as Chalobah, really tidy across the game. Good both on and off the ball and no real issues.
Moises Caicedo – 9
Absolutely IMPECCABLE. An outstanding performance throughout the game, fantastic both on and off the ball, topping off his performance by winning the penalty for our third goal. Fantastic.
Romeo Lavia – 8
One of the classiest performances of the season, I feel like I say it every week! A superb pass in the buildup to our opener and just played really very well throughout.
Enzo Fernandez – 8
Fantastic today, scored our opener and did his job really well. It most certainly wasn’t the type of game that suits him, with us conceding possession but he seemed comfortable with his role. Took his goal well too.
Noni Madueke – 6
I thought he was bright today. Was a good threat at points but just lacked an end product.
Cole Palmer – 8
HE’S BACK! Finally a goal and just a fantastic game. Caused problems for Liverpool from all areas of the pitch, with his deserved goal for his efforts.
Pedro Neto – 7
Not his brightest game but he certainly wasn’t poor. A perfect assist early on as well for Enzo.
Nicolas Jackson – 5
The one poor game out of many today. Always offside, heavy touches, just incredibly frustrating.

We were oddly pragmatic today but I liked it in a way? We kept the game tight, were effective when we had the ball. It felt like a bang on game plan and I’m very happy with it.
Onto the next!
