Conor Gallagher grabs a late winner, earning Chelsea a HUGE three points against Crystal Palace!
Djordje Petrovic – 6
Standard. Not an awful lot to do, and in my view couldn’t do much for the goal.
Malo Gusto – 8
Probably our best player tonight, with another assist and much of our attacking play coming through him. Hopefully the injury issue he went off with isn’t too serious.
Axel Disasi – 4
Really poor, for me at least. It felt like Mateta had the beating of him all evening, though stats suggest he was dribbled past just once, so maybe I’m wrong? Who knows.
Thiago Silva – 5
Not wonderful at least in my view, but by all means not atrocious, and I don’t mean to pile on him, as I’m aware he’s a topic of conversation amongst fans right now.
I just feel he moves the ball too slow, and it is a problem much of the time.
Ben Chilwell – 4
He played like he had two weak feet tonight and offered us next to nothing going forward, whilst being suspect defensively.
Moises Caicedo – 5
Poorest I’ve seen him in weeks, despite the stats around his performance looking deceivingly positive.
I didn’t feel convinced with him on the ball tonight, and he was at fault for a few transitions, and played a part in Palace’s goal.
Enzo Fernandez – 6
A goal to top the win off, with stats that would suggest tonight was closer to the Enzo we know. 140 touches, 10/15 long balls completed, but again, on the eye, I don’t think it was pretty.
Conor Gallagher – 7
The equalizer and the winner, two huge goals, potentially massive in the context of our season.
Sky suggested he also covered an incredible 13 kilometers tonight, which is very on brand for him.
Cole Palmer – 5
Two assists shadowing an overall very quiet performance, and he could have even had three if Sterling decided to shoot quicker! Not much else to add.
Nicolas Jackson – 5
Quiet and not overly involved. I liked the left-wing dynamic last week, but I don’t think it worked tonight.
Noni Madueke – 4
Incredibly poor and massively at fault for Palace’s opening goal alongside Caicedo, with slow, poor decision making on the edge of our own box.
A step backwards tonight and fairly replaced at half-time.
Mauricio Pochettino – 5
A win, that he needed, but too many worrying signs tactically again. We need to improve ahead of City and Liverpool.
Christopher Nkunku – 6
Not a massive amount of involvement but a few nice moments here and there. I wonder if he’s ready to start from this weekend now.
Levi Colwill – 6
Good on the ball, sound enough defensively – but, injured?
Raheem Sterling – N/A
Alfie Gilchrist – N/A
