Chelsea come back from 2-0 down at home to Ipswich to salvage a 2-2 draw, but it’s a result that’ll likely prove catastrophic to our hopes of Champions League qualification.
Robert Sanchez – 4
Absolutely dreadful again, poor ball giveaways and constantly shifting the momentum of the game to go against us.
Trevoh Chalobah – 4
Bang average all in all. Had a decent effort at goal in the first half but defensively fairly weak.
Tosin Adarabioyo – 4
Average at best again. It’s impossible to make a case for any central defender having a good performance when we’ve conceded two goals at home to a really poor side.
Levi Colwill – 3
I’m quite fed up of him now. Had the audacity to throw hand gestures when he scored against bottom of the league Southampton in February but I never seem to see his defensive contributions improve. Caught out for goal number one as well.
Marc Cucurella – 6
The best of our defenders today, although I’d argue he was poor for Ipswich’s second goal. Helped us improve in the second half and forced an own goal to get us back in the game.
Enzo Fernandez – 6
Nothing worth shouting about today, but was oh so unlucky not to win it for us at the last moment.
Attempted an insane number of crosses as well but hardly any found a player.
Moises Caicedo – 6
Much the same as Enzo really, a pretty dull performance and again, hard to make a case for anything more than that.
Noni Madueke – 7
Probably our best attacker today, though it wasn’t hard to be that.
Was direct all game long, most of our play came down his side, and he helped pull us back into the game.
Cole Palmer – 5
I still can’t work out what’s gone wrong with him. Is he trying too hard? Is it his position? I really don’t know.
That said, he nearly scored a lovely goal to win the game for us but ultimately it’s another goalless game.
Pedro Neto – 4
Completely ineffective again, and it’s hard to note anything he really did throughout apart from throw countless crosses into the box.
Nicolas Jackson – 4
Should’ve scored in the first half and never seemed in the game after that. A poor day for him.
Substitutes:
Malo Gusto – 5
Didn’t really make a major difference when he came on at half time, quite average.
Christopher Nkunku – N/A
Jadon Sancho – 7
Came on and was bright, not to forget his superb equaliser. Can’t have any complaints given his contribution.
Enzo Maresca – 5
Result is awful, arguably our most damaging one this season.
However, the game followed the same pattern as always, we dominated possession and had a few things gone differently, could’ve been ahead early and it be a different game.
Not a fan of his post match comments though, but I personally still think we’re better off sticking with him.
Onto Warsaw again.
