A vital win for Chelsea as they sore up the table into 2nd for the time being!

A frustrating 45 minutes in the first half had some of us concerned. But second half, it was more like it from us and wolves were completely taken apart.

A positive result going into the international break with the manager and the players a lot to think about for the upcoming tough run we have in November

Sanchez – 7

Very little to do once again, claimed one good cross but was commanding and moved the ball as quick as possible.

Gusto – 5.5

Looked lethargic and slow during the build up play towards attacking. Underwhelming overall .

But then comes the second half with his first ever Chelsea goal! The most unlikely scorer gets one for us!

Fofana – 7.5

Kept things ticking and made some good ground duels. He also had some good bursts forward into midfield.

Chalobah – 7.5

Like Fofana , he tried to keep things ticking as fast as possible and kept Larsen quiet with his aerial and ground duels.

Cucurella – 7

Supportive especially within the attack and tried to make things happen as quick as possible.

Caicedo – 7.5

A rock as per usual by his tackling and aggression. His passing could’ve been better though through transition.

Enzo – 8.5

The whole attack was going through him and came up with some decisive passing in the final third to create a lot of chances. Looked fitter compared to recent weeks and more sharper.

Neto – 6

Usually a big fan of Neto but today probably his worst performance in a chelsea shirt.

Killed off every attack and extremely predictable in his decision making.

A transformed second half performance by playing striker which was an interesting tactical move. A well taken goal too against his former club

Joao Pedro – 6

Some decent moments within the pockets but overall lacked the finishing touch when it mattered.

Seems more comfortable playing in the 10 overall with his bursts of strength. A well taken finish too despite rumblings around the ground of him being frustrating

Garnacho – 8

Looked extremely lively down the left side and felt like something was gonna happen damn his side. A delightful ball in for Gusto’s goal and for Neto’s.

Delap- 6.5

Hustling and bustling with battling with the defenders. Didn’t really do much to run the channels/create spaces . Think he is still finding his feet in the team.

Maresca: 7.5

Interesting team selection by putting Delap and Pedro together and the tactical switch up by putting Neto as a striker which stretched the Wolves back line quiet a lot and worked in our favour and ultimately broke down the wolves defence more.

Instant impact coming off the bench with an assist for Pedro.

James: 6

Looked more composed than Gusto did in that position.

Guiu: N/A

Had 1 great chance to make it 4 by being denied by the keeper/post. Pressed well as usual.
