Player ratings: Marc Cucurella saves the season with immense header

Marc Cucurella heads Chelsea onto 66 points and just one more win away from returning to the Champions League next season.

Despite a lacklustre performance, the one goal was enough to give us a shot in Nottingham next weekend.

Robert Sanchez – 7

Most importantly keeping a clean sheet tonight and made a big save towards the end of the game from an Amad shot to keep us ahead.

Reece James – 8

Absolutely fantastic tonight and a stunning assist to match. Unlucky not to get a goal himself with his stunning first half strike, but all in all a great shift from our superb captain.

Tosin Adarabioyo – 7

Very solid tonight, five clearances, three tackles and 100% in his ground duels. A very good evening for him.

Levi Colwill – 7

Really good tonight as well, totally locked down United’s right hand side and I can’t fault his defensive efforts.

Marc Cucurella – 8

HERO! Scorer of our biggest goal of the season yet when the game looked like it was going to fade away. Played really well anyway, getting into some good areas, being a threat throughout.

Enzo Fernandez – 6

Not his best night this evening, never really able to grab ahold of the game in the way that we know he’s able to. He was outshone by his midfield partner tonight to be fair but, wasn’t explicitly poor.

Moises Caicedo – 9

I’d argue it might have actually been his best game all season, though I say that weekly. He was immense from minute one up until the 97th. Won every second ball, escaped from United’s press with ease and picked the right pass every time. I am genuinely in awe.

Pedro Neto – 5

Worked incredibly hard tonight, even despite not having a huge effect during the game. Fairly bright in the first half but ultimately didn’t get into it enough.

Cole Palmer – 6

Pretty average at most points tonight, didn’t have a huge effect on the game which was quite disappointing.

Noni Madueke – 6

Not really in the game either tonight, going to show it was a poor attacking display. Should’ve scored in the second half to finish the game off but luckily, it didn’t haunt us.

Tyrique George – 5

Not his fault at all but just never in the game. As much as he tried to be effective it just wasn’t happening.

Enzo Maresca – 5

I can’t get my head around the performance at all tonight but, the result was what mattered ultimately and we got what we wanted. Now onto Forest, where it all hinges on the final day.
