Player ratings: Pedro Neto grabs late winner after Tyrique George wonder goal

Chelsea keep Champions League hopes alive with a late, great 2-1 win away at Fulham, with stunners from Tyrique George and Pedro Neto.

Potentially a defining result for us this season, if we manage to qualify for the Champions League.

Robert Sanchez – 5

Didn’t have a lot to do all game in fairness but got down very slow I thought for Iwobi’s first half goal. A standard rating.

Reece James – 4

At fault, or at least largely at fault for us going a goal down. Took too long on the ball, which should never be happening. Didn’t do a great deal else in the 45 minutes he played.

Trevoh Chalobah – 5

Didn’t think all too much of his performance today. Seven clearances from Fulham crosses and strong in the duels he had, but a pretty average performance overall.

Levi Colwill – 5

Much the same as Trev, haven’t got a lot to say about how he played. No real positives to pick out about it, but he wasn’t exactly poor either. Again, an average day for him.

Marc Cucurella – 6

Again the best of our backline today. Nothing extraordinary, but just as good as he typically is and has been all season. Still think we’re better when he moves into midfield, into the pivot, but not something we can control as fans.

Enzo Fernandez – 7

Had a much better second half than a first. Assisted our crucial winner, two key passes, six from nine long balls completed. However, several poor giveaways in that awful first half, which isn’t like him.

Moises Caicedo – 6

He was okay today. Not his best but by no means his worst. Busy in duels, decent on the ball but on the eye I didn’t feel it was his best showing.

Pedro Neto – 6

Was actually quite poor today but his winner saves the rating a bit. Should’ve had a goal earlier in the game, but didn’t. However, it’s his winner that has kept our season alive, just!

Cole Palmer – 4

Not sure if my thinking is just that he’ll be poor again but today was no different. Never really made a lot happen, never got into the game enough and has still not his his clutch gene back. Poor. Please, please improve soon…

Noni Madueke – 6

Probably our brightest player of a terrible first half, yet he was taken off? Something I found very odd. Looked lively, wanted to take his marker on, can never complain about that.

Nicolas Jackson – 3

Dreadful. Showed an awful lack of instinct, never in the game or offering much outside of goalscoring. I genuinely wouldn’t start him next weekend.

Substitutes:

Malo Gusto – 5

He was okay at most. Looked a bit brighter in that second half which was a plus. Seems as though we’ve probably lost him for the rest of the season though.

Jadon Sancho – 4

Didn’t do a great deal in my opinion, I’m still not sure on him.

Tyrique George – 7

Scored the equaliser that was the catalyst to us stealing the points. Incredibly happy for the lad, what a moment for him. I’d give him the nod ahead of Jackson next week, genuinely.

Tosin Adarabioyo – N/A

Enzo Maresca – 3

Terrible game overall and hard to defend or justify the way we played. However, bringing George on late did bring a goal and a platform to nick the game.
