The return of Legend Didier Drogba is just a day away and we will witness the Ivorian striker for the first time at the Bridge wearing a different color rather than Blues. The ovation he will receive will be legendary and memorable to speak. After sealing Chelsea first ever Champions league win over Bayern Munich with his last kick of the ball in the final penalty, Drogba has faced Chelsea ever since in the first leg and played a crucial part in the draw.
Now, he will look to spoiling the party and excitement of his return by scoring and eliminating his beloved club from the Champions league. His return will be emotional, but as Mourinho said before the first leg, Didier won’t be our friend during the 90 minutes of football.
We will see how much of an advantage Fernando Torres’ away goal at Istanbul means and how much we have missed Drogba in our front line judging from our striker’s performance on that night. Mourinho will send out his team telling them to rise up after the defeat at Villa park which puts our league title aspirations in bad shape.
What ever the outcome of the game might be, this will surely be an emotional night for both Chelsea fans and players as well as the king himself, Didier Drobga.
