Egypt’s coach Shawky Gharib is happy with Salah’s performance in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon.
Mohamed Salah was introduced during the last five minutes of the match and his effort to score was halted by the Sporting Lisbon’s Goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
“I am very happy with Salah’s performance against Sporting,” Gharib told Al-Ahram Sports on Wednesday.
“Being a substitute on a great team like Chelsea is not a shame.”
The Egyptian winger has suffered from lack of playing time with Chelsea this season as he was dropped from the Blues’ squad several times.
“I am impressed with his determination and I demand him to use more effort with his side to reserve a place in Chelsea’s line-up,” the Pharaohs’ coach concluded.
Gharib has called-up Salah for the Pharoahs’ two upcoming clashes against Botswana in the African qualifiers.
