Anthony Gordon is internally pushing to join Chelsea but hasn’t handed in a transfer request, ChelseaFC365 understands.
A respected Everton insider tells ChelseaFC365 that Anthony Gordon’s agent has already been in London a couple of times including once last week to meet with Chelsea.
Personal terms are all agreed between Chelsea and Anthony Gordon, the source further tells us that Gordon prefers a move to Chelsea over Spurs even though Spurs all but ended their interest after bulking at the £50m+ valuation when Chelsea’s rivals were in talks with richarlison.
Everton and Gordon had opened contract talks but both parties were a little way off in terms of expectations. Nothing was either agreed or rejected and talks went no further with Chelsea’s interest lurking in the background.
Chelsea are currently in talks over a deal worth £60m including all add ons.
Lastly, the source tells us that Everton are trying to get plans in place for replacements before sanctioning the sale to Chelsea.
