Sources have told LondonsFirst.com that Chelsea are continuing to send scouts out to watch young talent. The latest talents the scouts are watching include Chelsea academy product Samuel Illing-Junior, who left Chelsea at 17 years old to pursue a challenge abroad, according to Nizaar Kinsella at the time.
Illing-Junior now plays for Juventus and the 19-year-old caught the eye of several top clubs with two assists in 43 minutes against Benfica last October.
Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on the development of Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
Sources told LondonsFirst.com that at the time of the initial interest, Chelsea were interested in bringing him into their development team, however the 19-year-old Irishman from Brighton has made a case with his performances for Brighton’s first team to show he is above the level of the youth sides.
A host of other top clubs are monitoring Ferguson.
Finally, Harry Amas, a 16-year-old who plays for Watford, is another that is being scouted by the Blues.
If any of these three do end up joining Chelsea, the plan is to look at them in the youth side first. However, with Ferguson, the hype and level he has shown at Brighton factored in with the price he would cost could perhaps rule that out.
Chelsea are also actively looking into France having seen approaches for investment in clubs for the multi-club model turned down.
