Sources: Chelsea discuss potential attacking targets

Sources have told LondonsFirst that Chelsea have been debating internally over the next attacking move to make in the market.

Chelsea have a long list of potential targets after missing out on Michael Olise.

LondonsFirst reported on 6th August that Chelsea were receiving no encouragement from Crystal Palace over their attempts to find out injury information for the star forward.

Olise has now signed a new deal which is thought to include a brand new and higher release clause.

Wilfried Gnonto and Eberechi Eze are two players that the club have had on their list for a little while, but have not yet decided to move for either.

There is a feeling that Chelsea are looking for predominantly a right sided winger who can also play on the left, to compete with Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk.

One person with knowledge feels Mohamed Kudus has not been pursued due to Christopher Nkunku’s injury, you may ask why?

It’s felt by the individual that having Mohamed Kudus and Nicolas Jackson out for one month when they travel to the AFCON (African cup of Nations) would be “less than ideal”.

Anything can happen in the market and Chelsea are looking at being opportunistic so we cannot entirely rule out a hijack but as of the past few weeks, Kudus looks to be off the table.

Finally, the interest in Jeremy Doku is said to be real, meanwhile Chelsea have been debating a bid internally for Bradley Barcola of £40m+.

Chelsea are expected to settle on a name from their list and make a formal move next week.
