Sources: Chelsea dressing room split, sections disinterested with life under Graham Potter

Multiple reliable, well connected sources have told ChelseaFC365 that sections of Chelsea’s dressing room are “disinterested” with life under Graham Potter.

Sources revealed that some players are particularly disinterested in team meetings held by Graham Potter. It is felt by players that there is not much togetherness within the the team, there is a feeling amongst some that the team is now a bunch of individuals rather than a unified collective. The term “individuals not a team” came up from one source.

When asked about player’s appearing to be constantly smiling in revealed training pictures, sources hinted that player’s are enjoying playing in certain groups and mini games but when it comes to the behind scenes work ahead of the game, some are taking in information with one ear and letting it go out the other.

Sources revealed that there is a handful of players who genuinely still miss Thomas Tuchel whilst others have questioned to others privately why a proven, world class manager did not arrive following his departure.

The disconnect within the team is evident as some players are also known to be fans of Graham Potter and are optimistic for what the future could hold.

Sources said that the difference of opinion in the camp, alongside the many new signings are contributing to the factor of the feeling “individuals not a team”.

Many players want to leave in the summer and it is thought that Todd Boehly and co will not hold back with player’s who express a desire to move on.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang :

We understand that at least one player who is friends with Pierre is baffled that he was excluded from the Champions League squad. Pierre himself was understand to be confused.

It is thought that despite the media briefings which give off the impression that Graham Potter is going nowhere no matter what, the hierarchy and owners continue to monitor and discuss process as well as fan reaction.

Sources told ChelseaFC365 that there is fondness towards two coaches in Portugal, with one likely to be a interim contender should the position of Graham Potter truly become untenable.

It will be interesting to see how the ownership deal with the mass fan distaste towards Potter should the negative results continue.
