A Source well connected with Chelsea has told ChelseaFC365 that the new ownership group is interested in partnering with American giants for potential substantial sponsorship deals. We are not going to reveal the companies to protect our source’s information but we are told that one is in the aviation industry and one would potentially be the new 2023/24 shirt sponsor following the expectation that Three UK will not renew the current existing contract at the end of this current season.
We are told the shirt sponsor that was under discussion at one stage last week was a company with over a TRILLION $ of assets under management.
It’s thought that the discussions within Chelsea are at relatively early stages, but the intent is certainly there and even if these deals do not come to fruition, you can be sure that Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital will continue to work ahead for Chelsea’s short and long term future.
Chelsea’s new owners continue to want to make a statement and turn the club into a powerhouse and talking to potential new sponsors is just one of many things under current discussion, ChelseaFC365 understands.
The new owners want to increase Chelsea’s revenue substantially through many different avenues and we are assured by more than one source that when the time is right, Stamford Bridge will be looked into regarding an increased capacity. Todd Boehly’s consortium have already made visual changes around the ground, with visual art in and around the stadium as well as increased food and beverage stations.
Todd Boehly’s consortium have been working at an impressive pace since taking over and have been doing a very good job so far, despite worldwide fan shock and anger that Thomas Tuchel was relieved of his duties as coach.
