Sources have told LondonsFirst that a Chelsea scout is watching Romeo Lavia vs Nottingham Forest this evening.

Chelsea’s scouts have been actively working on providing the recruitment team reports on several options in midfield and other areas.

Some of the names that the scouts have recently been watching include Khéphren Thuram and Sandro Tonali whilst Fulham’s João Palhinha has been watched in previous months.

Chelsea are expected to try and sign a defensive type midfielder but versatility is also valued.

Sources understand that tonight will be the final time that Chelsea watch Lavia, before sending the report to the recruitment team.

Joe Shields is already a big fan of Romeo Lavia and could help in negotiations, however the scouts are currently reporting their findings to Co-Sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart
