Chelsea recently agreed a deal to sign Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha, and he could arrive as early as January.
Fabrizio Romano reports on YouTube that although a deal is agreed for 2026, the option includes bringing Emegha to the Blues as early as January, when many fans thought 2026 would mean in the Summer.
Chelsea currently have Joao Pedro and Marc Guiu as strikers, and will be monitoring the progress of Emegha as well as their own striker performances ahead of making a decision.
The fee to bring Emegha to Chelsea has not been reported, but the Blues have anticipated other clubs such as Juventus, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa to secure his signature.
Emegha is seen as a player who can make an impact straight away upon joining.
The 6 foot 5 Dutch striker scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season and has 1 in 3 so far this season.
The striker was recently pictured at Cobham holding up a Chelsea shirt, which was released by the club’s socials.
