The Ricketts are trying to currently purchase Chelsea and over the last few weeks they have been hit with immense backlash over many cases from their family members saying things that do not correspond with the values and principals of Chelsea FC, but now, Paul Canoville who was previously angered by The Ricketts Family’s bid, has been re-assured on a wide range of different issues after a meeting in London with head of the bid Tom Ricketts. Paul Canoville went onto say :
“As the club’s official ambassador on racism – I was grateful to be asked for my views on the sale. I was pleased to meet with Mr Ricketts and expressed my concerns over some of his family’s members..
“I was reassured by his response. But I also fully understand and appreciate the position of the Chelsea Supporters Trust who still have serious reservations. I am hoping to meet the other potential buyers in the coming days to have the same honest and frank conversations about their values and their commitment to diversity and community work. These are challenging times for all Chelsea fans and it’s critical that the club is sold to the right person.”

Chelsea fans on social media did not like the latest news, suggesting that this was nothing more than a PR Move from The Ricketts Family to try and win over people as they look to secure the purchase of the most decorated English club over the last 15 years.
