According to several top sources including Fabrizio Romano, Sky Sports and The Daily Mail and now Nathan Gissing and Gianluca Di Marzio, Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of and is prioritising a deal for Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.
Sterling is out of contract at the Etihad at the end of next season. He was not always a regular in the Premier League last term, with just 23 of his 30 appearances coming as a starter.
The 27-year-old still managed 13 goals and five assists but the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez could limit his game time further. Chelsea have been linked with Sterling and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now given an update.
Tuchel is a big fan of Sterling and he’s on the list, no direct contact between Chelsea and Man City yet according to Fabrizio Romano yesterday.
However today, Gianluca Di Marzio came out and said Chelsea are confident to close Sterling for around £35m, although he has 1 year left, this would be a very cheap fee for one of the most proven premier league winners.
It’s understood Sterling would be attracted to a move to Chelsea, as Nathan Gissing said on the CFC365 Podcast, Sterling is a “London Boy”
