Terry is out of contract at the end of the season.
However, Chelsea will need to find a long term replacement for the captain, who’s contract expires at the end of this Season.

In this article, I will be looking at three defenders Chelsea could possibly sign next summer.

• Raphael Varane:

The Frenchman built a good relationship with José during his time at Real Madrid, from that time Mourinho admired and also developed interest in the youngster. The defender is reportedly unsettled at the Bernabeu due to lack of first team football. However, I think Raphael Varane is favourit to sign for the Blues.

• John Stones:

The England international has been stable and fantastic in Everton first team over the past few months. If he recovers fast from the Injury he suffered against Man United, Stones could be the defender Chelsea is interested in.

• Marquinhos:

Chelsea was interested in Marquinhos before he signed for Paris St Germain last summer. The Londoners could make another move has report suggests he is unhappy at Parc des Princes.
