Tiago could return to Chelsea along with Costa

Tiago, a former Chelsea player signed by Mourinho, back in 2004 could make a return to Chelsea after becoming a free agent, having played for Atletico Madrid. The 33 year old, once made 47 appearances for the blues, scoring 4 goals including an amazing long shot against United, back when we won the title.

The move could also see Costa arrive at Chelsea, after the latest change to the squad of Atletico:

The move could mean that Costa may have received the green light to finish his move to Chelsea and it has been mentioned that along with Tiago, he could settle in life better at Chelsea along with his friend.

Well, he ll bring experience and maturity to our midfield but at 33, can he still cope with the physicality of EPL?

he is too old for our team, we need young blood

Why Tiago? Why we need to sign a 33 years old player? He is a good player but we don’t need him. We need to balance 2 things – future development of our young players and the instant excellent performance of our team. If we go for the former, we have to give chance to our young players like McEachran, Van Ginkel, Baker, John Swift, etc. If for latter, we have to get Progba, Modric, Khedira, etc. But Tiago is 33 in age and he is never the class of Khedira. If we get Tiago, why not keep Lampard!
Just like the case of Lukaku and Eto. Eto last season cannot help Chelsea to earn any trophy. On the other hand, why not give chance to Lukaku. He may develop very well in Chelsea and help us to improve our goal finishing. Similar case is that of Cech and Courtois.

Honestly I totally disagree with Mou’s strategy on this. If he keep on loan out Courtois, Lukaku and a lot of our potential young players but buy some old players like Tiago or somebody like Eto, I am sure we will have another no trophy year!

  4. Very good signing for bench as z likes of Lamp and others not want bench role. He is well experienced player & his salary is also very low. Good signing for blue as z business of Luiz + Mikeal wl be used to buy 2 strikers & 1 AM players.

  5. its a welcom development

Considering that he is coming on a free transfer, I can only see this as an extremely good piece of business by Mou. Yea, his old, we need young blood and blablabla, but if he does help costa adapt to the epl faster, it would definitely be a good signing. Same thing with Arsenal’s signing of Kim Kallstrom, widely criticised, but there really was nothing to lose for Arsene. We have nothing to lose from getting tiago, and his wealth of experience will only help our team.

  8. why don’t will follow the way they used to developed their own striker rather then go all the way and pay them huge money for their striker. why don’t we let us find solutions to how to be making sure our young stars promote to first team. let watch out for the player they buy in the replacement of Costa in the two season, we will be among the clubs who will be eying the player again if care not taking. I believed the link between our reserve and first team is too poor. if not! how many of our young promoted player will still have in our senior team and became supper star? I believe if we try and to developed this area it will help us reduce the way will spend and increase income. up Chelsea!

He is a good player. He would add experience and quality to our ranks. However, I would much rather keep Lamps for another year. I understand Tiago would keep Costa happy, but aren’t we supposed to be signing Felipe Luis too?!

  10. My brother suggested I would possibly like this website.

He used to be entirely right. This put up truly made my day.
You cann’t believe simply how a lot time I had spent for this
