Victor Moses – the better version of Hulk.

Before we got Victor Moses, I was really fond of Hulk. I was very wrong with my judgement towards Victor and I really wanted Roman to spend a helluva lot of money on Hulk. However, both players showed how wrong I was. Hulk moved to Zenit for €50m, he moved there for the money (like he himself said) and Victor moved to Chelsea for about £9m which was a bargain well done.

And now Victor has become a vital part of our team. He turned out to be one of those magical, cheap signings who can really help the team. With Mata and Hazard on the LW & CAM (rotating), Moses perfectly fits on the right wing – a position that we lacked players for. We had big trouble with the RW and Victor was there to fit in.
Great dribbling abilities, fantastic pace, amazing strength and on top of all that – Victor is only 22 years old. He just became the AFCON Player of the Tournament. A tournament which his country, Nigeria, won. Of course, there’s room for improvement – his crosses and shots need to become a little more accurate. Of course, he’s a winger, he has already scored 5 goals in 23 games. Remember, he didn’t start them all. These include a crucial goal vs Shakhtar at the Bridge, one vs Wolves in his debut, one vs. Swansea to give us a point, and a great finish vs Southampton, again crucial – because it came just before the half time whistle and it gave us a 1-2 lead. The game, as we all know, ended with a smashing 1-5 victory (FA Cup).
So, there you have it – Victor Moses proved to be one helluva signing. He proved to be the signing that Hulk couldn’t have been because of the massive price-tag. I’d go with £9m Moses rather than £43m Hulk. Sometimes it’s those cheap signings that make the difference, that are better than the overpriced names.

That’s why I think Moses is a better, younger and a lot cheaper version of Hulk. Bold statement, but true.

  1. No doubt he is a great lad, his skills and ability to unlock defence is something else, the pace n energy shows it all at the just concluded AFCON tournament. His best is yet to come ( a very good buy for Chelsea).

  2. Hulk is better but Moses is good enough. Could be better though as he has all he needs to be one of the best wingers. He just needs more experience on how to consistently exploit these abilities, same as Eden.

  3. Well Moses won the Fairplay player of the tournament otherwise better known as the Most Desciplined Player of the tournerment

  4. We struggle without him. He is a good player though there is always room for improvement.
