What We Learned: Chelsea FC 3-1 Man Utd

imageJose Mourinho earned his long-awaited and fully deserved 100th victory in the premier league as the Blues beat Manchester United 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Samuel Eto’o scored a hat trick as our striker issues in front of goal was left behind. The Cameroonian was man of the match and fully repaid the faith put in him by the Special One to start him ahead of Fernando Torres.

This victory put us back just two points behind the leaders and one point behind Man City in 2nd. The top three sides in the table are steering clear from other challengers as Liverpool drew 2-2 at Anfield on Saturday. Meanwhile, David Moyes’ Man Utd languish four points behind Everton in 7th who have yet to play their fixture on Monday against West Brom. lol

LEAGUE TABLE 01 19 14

Let’s now look into the top or main points we learned from the sweet win for all Chelsea fans around the world…

Jose Mourinho the Special one; David Moyes the clueless one:

This point was clear since the very beginning of last summer or through out their careers except for Manchester United fans who called him the ‘Chosen One’. Now, all Red Devils supporters can shove it up their faces for those who said Mourinho swept in tears when Sir Alex informed his successor would be David Moyes. The Special one, meanwhile, returned to his ‘home’ and ‘where he is loved the most’ this summer. In this fixture, Jose Mourinho earned his 100th victory against our arch-nemesis Manchester United. Well Done Jose!!

Samuel Eto’o was Fantastic and a match winner:

The Cameroonian striker scored a hat trick and helped the Blues to an important win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. It was very much expected that Torres was going to continue upfront after scoring against Hull last weekend. But, Jose Mourinho played Samuel Eto’o and got the rewards with a fantastic performance put in place by the Cameroonian. This should lay the fire under all three of our strikers to continue scoring. It’s now 5 goals for our strikers since the turn of the new year starting from a new year day’s goal by Fernando Torres at Southampton. Let’s hope it continues this way!!

Our midfield won the battle at Stamford Bridge:

The pivot consisting of two Brazilians, RAMIRES and DAVID LUIZ; Did it’s job so well in this after noon. The Midfield was the most crucial and decisive encounter between the two teams. The injury to RVP and Wayne Rooney eased pressure of our brilliant defense. Luiz especially was so energetic and so decisive in winning aerial battles and tackles against Phil Jones and Michael Carrick. With the new signing of Nemanja Matic and Frank Lampard set to return from injury by the next game hopefully, we will have no worries going forward till the end of the season and fight for as many trophies as possible. The important being the premier league title.

Eden Hazard is just a joy to watch!

The Belgian wizard was creating unparalleled hazard against the opposition’s defense all afternoon. His skills combined with agility and speed were no match for the likes of Vidic and Rafael at the back. His unstoppable runs from one end of the pitch to the other forced Vidic into getting himself sent off by bringing down Hazard with a two footed challenge. The Belgian is easily becoming one of the best players in the world and will surely win the Ball’n Dor in the coming few years.

It will take a win against each other to separate the top 3:

Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are in the long race to the premier league trophy at the top of the table. And as it has been proven in the recent set of fixtures since the new year, it might only take a win against each other to decide where the trophy goes come the end of the season. Looking at it till the present moment, Chelsea had beaten Man City at home and await for a crucial encounter at the Etihad where the Blues of Manchester have a 100% record at home. Chelsea drew 0-0 at the Emirates and have a decisive fixture yet to be played at Stamford Bridge where Jose Mourinho is unbeaten at home in the premier league. Manchester City have beaten Arsenal 6-3 at the Etihad and await an away fixture at the Emirates.

We can see each team has equal home and away games. That makes those fixture super decisive as all three contenders are winning every weekend match after match with impressive records. We will find out in those fixtures if Jose Mourinho’s men or the other two teams will lift the coveted premier league trophy come the end of the season. • Disagree, Oscar was pretty weak, he lost possession far too much.

I learnt an earnest Chelsea side when determined to optimize their performance, will definitely prevail as winners. But mentioning names as catalysts for cfc to go forward is rather laughable because they’ve always done that and worn they’re last six matches.

  6. Wat i learnt is dat,y is it dat david luiz was jus kickin d ball away aimlessly,,weneva he is in posession,,xpeshally wen d scores was 3-1
