Zlatan Ibrahimovic Set To Return For Chelsea Clash

Chelsea fans would take the news of Zlatan Ibrahimovic being back in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the game against Chelsea, with mixed feelings, because the big striker from Sweden has not made a massive impact on most of the games he has played in against the Blues. But should the French side stand any chance of making it through to the next stage of the tournament, Ibrahimovic would be key for them.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc, said Zlatan has been working hard in training during his ban, just to keep him fit and now that his ban is over, he would play the match against Lens, to get that competitive edge before the game against Chelsea at the Bridge. Sweden International, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was suspended for two games by the French football authorities for a late challenge on Saint-Etienne player Romain Hamouma on 25 January, an incident that was initially only punished with a yellow card.

In order for the French side to advance in the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain need to score a goal at Stamford Bridge. During the first left of the game, it took a late strike by Edison Cavani to break down the Chelsea defence after waves of attack proved not to be effective.

Other playes expected to be fit for the game against Chelsea include Spanish International, Thiago Motta and Brazillian international, Lucas Moura. Chelsea have no new injury concerns except for John Mikel Obi, who is expected to be out until April, after the Nigerian had a surgery performed on his knee. Also after the game against West Ham on Wednesday, Jose Mourinho revealed that Serbian International, Nemanja Matic had a twisted ankle, an injury the Portuguese tactician said he picked up during their Capital One Cup celebration, but however revealed that Matic would be ready for the Champions League game against the French Champions.
